Daddy’s Birthday
We love to celebrate birthdays in our house and Daddy’s is no exception. A highlight for Cooper is definitely making and eating the birthday cake. This year Daddy “jokingly” requested two birthday cakes so we had to get started early. We sent him to work with a rum cake to share and made a carrot…

Decorating Fail
Apparently I thought Cooper was only 2 feet tall and had no arms when I put the fragile ornaments on the tree. I left a section at the bottom for him to decorate with unbreakable ornaments, but forgot to account for how tall he is.

MacGyver
While I was making a trip to the car midway through lunch, Nicholas took the opportunity to bounce his highchair closer to the table, pull my place mat towards him, and grab my sandwich. So much for sticking with purees for this guy (the top half of the sandwich is on the floor). That evening Cooper…

Children’s Museum
Grandpa and Grandma met up with us for a morning of fun at the Seattle Children’s Museum. Cooper was a big fan of the bus, just like Daddy takes to work, especially since he could put gas in it. Nicholas working on his Jay Leno impersonation in the fun mirror

Thanksgiving
We have so much to be thankful for again this year including being surrounded and supported by amazing friends and family. My annual activity of reviewing the ads for Black Friday shopping included a helper this year. We spent Thanksgiving dinner at a family friend’s house where Cooper enjoyed making whip cream for the dessert. He…

No Fear
Today we went to the biggest McDonald’s type play land I have ever seen. There was a ball pit, many slides and literally floors of obstacle paths to climb up and through. We were there with some toddler group friends and family friends. I was reminded if one of the 6’5″ dads can crawl around, I can…

Cart Buddies
Today Cooper and Nicholas were cart buddies for the first time. By the end Nicholas was tipping over tired so the next cart buddy trip will need to wait a bit.

Island Bound
Getting ready to take off on our first commercial flight as a family of four. A friend of ours offered a “friends” deal on their condo in Kauai and we jumped at the chance for some warm sunshine in November. The flight went incredibly smoothly and before we knew it we were getting ready to land. We enjoyed…
