We’re Married!

August 19th, 2007 at the TPC Snoqualmie Ridge golf course is where the happy event took place. We were so excited for an outdoor ceremony and to show Rob’s many out of town friends and family how beautiful the Seattle area is in the summer. When we booked this date they even said it has only rained 7 times in the last 100 years on the 19th! Low and behold we wake up Sunday morning for our wedding and it is pouring buckets! Raining even more than a typical Seattle day. Well we proceeded to get ready like normal and the girls got extra hairspray to help hold it together in the elements.

Rob and I had our first sight in Kirkland on the waterfront. We have some really cute umbrella pictures and the drizzle helped relax us and prepare for a few hours of photos in the tempermental weather. When we arrived onsite at the venue for the wedding party and family pictures the rain let up. When the pictures finished we saw the black clouds rolling and knew that an outside ceremony would need to happen ASAP if it was going to happen at all. We started promptly at 4pm, instead of the original 4:15 plan. Just after we were walking back down the aisle after a wonderful ceremony the skies opened up….good thing it was time to go inside for drinking and dancing! 🙂

We also enjoyed a delicious rehearsal dinner hosted by Rob’s family at Anthony’s on Pier 66 the evening before hand. Lucky enough for our guests, it was also the weekend of hempfest so they were able to get a full taste of northwest living 🙂
